The family of Shahid Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, the late spokesperson for Inqilab Mancha, has called on the government to immediately extradite his suspected killers from India and ensure the safety of his surviving relatives.
Speaking at a press conference at the Nalchiti Press Club today (March 9) at 12:00 PM, Hadi’s sister, Machuma Hadi, urged Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to intervene. She emphasized the need for a fair trial and warned that any perceived "drama" regarding the judicial process would be met with protests from Hadi’s supporters.
Machuma Hadi noted that while 87 days have passed since her brother was shot dead in public on December 12 last year, the investigating agency has yet to submit a charge sheet. The family is now demanding that the investigation be completed under United Nations supervision.
"We have learned through the media that the primary suspects—shooter Faisal Karim and his associate Alamgir Hossain—are in Indian custody," Machuma stated. "We demand the government bring them back under the existing prisoner exchange agreement."
The family further insisted that the charge sheet must identify not only the shooters but also the masterminds, financiers, and those who facilitated the suspects' escape to India. The press conference was attended by Hadi’s brother-in-law Amir Hossain, neighbors Touhid Alam Manna, Saidul Kabir Rana, and other local representatives.
