Gold Prices Rise Again in Bangladesh Within a Day, Check New Rates Per Bhori

Gold prices in the domestic market have increased once again within the span of a single day. The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has hiked the price of 22-carat gold by BDT 4,374 per bhori, setting the new price at BDT 2,34,038.

BAJUS announced the revision in a press release on Saturday (August 8) morning. The new rates came into effect from 10:00 AM on the same day.

According to the updated price list, including VAT, the price of a bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold now stands at BDT 234,038.

Additionally, the price of 21-carat gold has been set at BDT 223,541 per bhori, 18-carat gold at BDT 191,931 per bhori, and traditional method gold at BDT 156,823 per bhori.

Meanwhile, silver prices have remained unchanged despite the surge in gold prices. Including VAT, the price of 22-carat silver is BDT 4,899 per bhori. Furthermore, 21-carat silver stands at BDT 4,666 per bhori, 18-carat silver at BDT 4,024 per bhori, and traditional method silver at BDT 3,032 per bhori.

With this latest update, gold prices in the local market have been adjusted 100 times so far this year—with 50 price hikes and 50 reductions. In comparison, gold prices were adjusted a total of 93 times in the domestic market in 2025, comprising 64 price increases and 29 cuts.
