Popular television actress Samira Khan Mahi has been crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2026 at a grand ceremony held in Dhaka on Saturday.
Visibly emotional upon hearing her name, Mahi was crowned by the reigning titleholder Tangia Zaman Methila. The event was graced by notable figures including Flora Telecom Managing Director and National Director Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke, actress Toma Mirza, actress Dighi and filmmaker Mehedi Hasan Hridoy.
Following her victory Mahi shared her gratitude on Facebook: “A dream, a crown and a responsibility bigger than myself. With immense pride and gratitude, I am honored to be crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2026. This is not just my moment; it’s a moment for Bangladesh.”
Organizers confirmed that Mahi will represent Bangladesh at the 75th edition of the international Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico with global events officially kicking off on November 11.
