National Revolution and Solidarity Day was observed in Dimla upazila of Nilphamari through various programmes.
On Sunday afternoon, a colourful rally was brought out from the upazila BNP office. The procession marched through the main streets of the town before concluding with a discussion meeting and a prayer programme.
Among those present were former district BNP adviser Professor Raisul Alam Chowdhury, former upazila BNP president Principal Monowar Hossain, Vice-President Ariful Islam Liton, former district BNP member Golam Rabbani Pradhan and Dimla Sadar Union BNP President Jahangir Alam (D.R.).
Other attendees included Upazila Jubo Dal Acting Convener Abu Bakkar Siddique, Member Secretary Tarikul Islam Sohag, Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Mizanur Rahman Sabuj, its Member Secretary Alamgir Hossain, Upazila Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Halimul Hossain Russell and district Chhatra Dal member Selim Islam Sagar.
Leaders and activists from BNP and its affiliated organisations at the upazila and union levels also attended the programmes.
Speakers called for national unity and urged people to work together to protect the country's independence amid the current situation.
