Tama Rashid Wins Bangladesh’s First 'Mrs. Independent International'

Tama Rashid has made history by becoming the first Bangladeshi to win the prestigious Mrs. Independent International 2026 title. Defeating contestants from approximately 40 countries, Tama secured the crown at the grand finale held in Thailand on Sunday, April 26.

The competition concluded with a high-stakes final round, where Tama narrowly beat the representative from India to claim the top spot.

"This is a historic moment for Bangladesh," Tama told reporters. "Winning on an international platform and bringing this crown home is a joy I cannot put into words."

Tama attributed her success to her consistent performance across several technical categories National Costume: Highlighting Bangladeshi heritage. The Ramp Walk Demonstrating poise and confidence. The Quiz Segment Showcasing intelligence and personality.

The champion is scheduled to arrive back in Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon, April 28. Looking ahead, Tama plans to continue her career in media presentation and intends to mentor aspiring young women looking to represent Bangladesh in future international pageants.
