Fire Victims in Lakshmipur’s Raipur Receive Emergency Relief

Ten families left destitute by a recent fire in Lakshmipur’s Raipur upazila received emergency relief on Thursday afternoon.

The upazila administration and local BNP leaders distributed two bundles of corrugated iron sheets, cash and two blankets to each affected household in the Basabari area of Sonapur Union. The devastating blaze had completely destroyed their homes and all household belongings and leaving the families in dire conditions.

This humanitarian assistance was organized under the directive of Member of Parliament and BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Md. Abul Khair Bhuiyan.

Raipur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mehedi Hasan Kawsar and Upazila BNP President Nazmul Islam Mithu personally handed over the relief materials. During the distribution the officials spoke with the victims also expressing their sympathy and assuring them of continued support to help them rebuild their lives.

Upon receiving the much-needed aid also the affected families expressed their deep gratitude to the local administration and BNP leadership for stepping forward during their time of crisis.
