


Crests, certificates and cash prizes were distributed among 42 scholarship recipients at Morelganj Model Academy in Bagerhat on Saturday with honoring students who excelled in the 2025 scholarship examination organized by the Bangladesh Kindergarten Association.
The ceremony, held at 11 am on the school premises, was attended by chief guest Bagerhat-4 MP Principal Abdul Alim, with Morelganj Upazila Engineer Md. Ariful Islam as special guest. Engineer Nahid Mahmud Rubel founder and director of Morelganj Model Academy, delivered the welcome speech while retired police officer Md. Sultan Ahmed Fakir chaired the event.
Speakers included Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Shahadat Hossain, former Government Siraj Uddin Memorial College principal Chir Ahmed, Principal Dr. Ruhul Amin, Municipal Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Rafiqul Islam, BNP leader Faruk Hossain Samad, retired headmaster Hosneara Hasi, headmaster Harun Or Rashid, Principal Mizanur Rahman, and teachers Merajul Islam Khasru and Shahidul Islam.
In his address, MP Abdul Alim said today's talented students will lead the nation's future also stressing that academic success alone is not enough—students must also build skills across disciplines and embrace cultural practices to contribute meaningfully to the country's development.
The 42 honored students, ranging from pre-school to sixth grade, all received Bangladesh Kindergarten Association scholarships in 2025. Notably, one student from the academy secured second place nationwide bringing recognition to Morelganj Model Academy throughout the upazila.
