The Nalchiti Press Club in Jhalakathi organized a special iftar and doa mahfil on Friday (March 13), bringing together journalists, local officials, and political leaders.

The event, held at the Press Club premises, was presided over by Press Club President Md. Enayet Karim and moderated by General Secretary KM Sabuj.

The program commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a discussion on the significance of Ramadan. Notable attendees included Nalchiti Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Rizvi Ahmed Sabuj, Nalchiti Police Station OC Md. Ariful Alam, and Police Inspector (Investigation) Md. Ashraf Ali.

Representatives from various political parties were also present, including Nalchiti Municipality BNP President and former Mayor Md. Mojibur Rahman, Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Md. Masum Sharif, and Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary Md. Moniruzzaman. Leaders from the Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, and local volunteer organizations also joined the gathering.

Following the discussion, Maulana Mahabubur Rahman Shamim led a special prayer session. Supplications were offered for the peace and prosperity of Bangladesh, the welfare of the Muslim Ummah, and specifically for the people of Palestine and Iran. The event concluded with a communal iftar shared by guests from all walks of life.
