


The Sunamganj Industrialists and Businessmen Welfare Foundation organized an Iftar and discussion mahfil at a local restaurant on Monday, marking the 12th of Ramadan. The event brought together prominent business, political, and social figures from across the district.
Chaired by Haji Farid Uddin and moderated by the foundation’s Secretary, Abdus Sattar Md. Mamun, the gathering featured Advocate Muhammad Shams Uddin, District Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer, as the chief guest.
The special guests included Abul Fazal Khan, Manager of Islami Bank PLC Sunamganj; Abdul Quddus, former Chairman of Dowara Upazila; and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Principal of Alhera Jamia Islamia Fazil Degree Madrasa.
During his address, the chief guest emphasized the spiritual significance of Ramadan, focusing on education, self-purification, and the attainment of piety. He urged attendees to implement the ideals of Ramadan in their personal and social lives to establish justice and fairness in society.
The speakers echoed these sentiments, highlighting Ramadan as a period for spiritual growth and community welfare. The program concluded with a special prayer (munajat) seeking the prosperity of the country, the nation, and the Muslim Ummah.
