


Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, has extended his heartfelt greetings to the countrymen and the world Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Ramadan.
He extended these greetings in a message given on the occasion of the holy Ramadan on Sunday (February 15).
The Chief Advisor said, "On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Muslims around the world, including the countrymen. The month of Ramadan is a month of self-restraint, sacrifice, compassion and self-purification. In this glorious month, in addition to achieving self-purification through fasting, charity and worship, there is an opportunity to gain the pleasure, closeness and forgiveness of Allah Almighty along with mutual compassion and harmony among all."
He said, "The holy month of Ramadan inspires us to avoid injustice, corruption and injustice in the lives of individuals and nations and to establish a society based on justice and welfare." This month, along with worship, teaches morality and humanity through the practice of truthfulness, justice, honesty and mutual compassion, and awakens everyone's sense of responsibility towards the poor and deprived.
Inspired by the teachings of Ramadan, the Chief Advisor called for avoiding indulgence, violence and hatred, saying, "In order to achieve the pleasure of Allah Almighty, let us all focus more on worship, Quran recitation, supplication, repentance and good deeds and protect the sanctity of Ramadan. May Allah Almighty accept our fasting, prayers, charity and all good deeds."
He said, "May Allah Almighty forgive and protect us all and grant peace and prosperity to the country and nation."
