


BNP's nominated candidate for the 13th National Parliament election in Dinajpur-5 (Phulbari-Parbatipur) constituency, Barrister AKM Kamruzzaman Zaman, exchanged views with journalists.
The exchange meeting was held at 12 noon on Saturday at the premises of Phulbari Girls Pilot High School. Barrister AKM Kamruzzaman Zaman is the Vice President of UK BNP and the legal advisor to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
In response to a question from journalists at the exchange meeting, he said that in addition to the overall development of Phulbari and Parbatipur upazilas, he is determined to make these two upazilas free from drugs, terrorism and extortion.
He referred to journalists as the eyes of society and said that martyred President Ziaur Rahman had lifted the ban on journalists and ensured the freedom of the press. He urged journalists to write freely and pledged to ensure their safety.
Barrister Kamruzzaman Zaman said that those who used the name of BNP to commit terrorism, extortion and occupation after August 5, 2024, are not from the party, they are miscreants. In the future, no one will be able to commit any misdeed using the name of BNP. At this time, he highlighted various aspects of the 31-point program for state repair and reform announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and called on people from all walks of life and those who believe in nationalist ideology to work unitedly to implement these 31 points.
The meeting was attended by the President of Phulbari Press Club and Acting Principal of Madilat College Abu Shahid, General Secretary of the Press Club Wahidul Islam Defense, Vice President Assistant Professor Azizul Haque Sarkar, Joint Secretary Md.
