A large amount of money by processing abandoned plastic in Khagrachari

A large amount of money is earned by processing abandoned plastic in Khagrachari. Plastics, considered the enemy of the environment, are no longer feloning. Although the plastic is severely harmful to the environment everywhere, it is now processing the wheel of fate by many.

The abandoned plastic processing factory 'Bismillah Plastic Factory' has been established in Manikchari in Khagrachari. Former UP chairman and politician Md. Abul Kashem.

Hawkers are collecting abandoned plastic products in some upazilas in the surrounding upazilas. Abul Kashem is buying them and processing them in the factory. On the other hand, not only is money being made by selling discarded plastic, but the environment is also being protected.

According to the findings, there are 20-22 workers working there. Among them are women workers. The use of hawkers is selection of plastic bottles, baskets, buckets, jugs and mugs. Later, these plastic products are being powdered on the machine. Later, they are being cleaned in water and dried. After processing, these chips are leaving the exporters of Dhaka and Chittagong.

Worker Mamaching Marma Bismillah used to work at the plastic factory. "We are happy to have a regular work environment next to our house," she said. Working here gives us an opportunity to earn extra income for our family. She earns Tk 3,000 a month by working on old plastic products in the water. A local hawker said. "People did not know earlier that plastic products can be sold again after use. So they used to leave empty bottles and other products everywhere around the house, in the markets. Now users are selling their unsuitable plastic products. I buy from them and sell them to the factory."

Talking about the owner of the Bismillah plastic factory. With Abul Kashem. He said that old plastic products were bought for Tk 50. Later, they used to process them at Tk 50.

At least 2 million worth of plastic products are collected every month from various areas including Manikchari, Ramgarh, Matiranga, Lakshmichhari, Fatikchari, Nazirhat and Heyako. He said remittances are coming to the country by exporting these abandoned plastic products abroad. On the other hand, locals are benefiting financially by selling abandon plastic products.

Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Deputy Manager of Khagrachari district. Ali al -Razi said that exports were being exported through abandoned plastic processing. The matter is very positiveHe added that if anyone can do something new by recycling abandoned plastic, it is undoubtedly a good initiative.
