Sharif Osman Hadi, the spokesperson for Inqilab Moncho and an independent MP aspirant for Dhaka-8, remains in a critical condition and is under 48-hour observation at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
Today Abdullah Al Jaber, Member Secretary of Inqilab Moncho, informed to a daily newspaper that Osman Hadi is showing an "internal response" but is still not out of danger.
Physicians have placed him under 48-hour observation and are currently unable to provide further prognosis.
Abdullah Al Jaber requested prayers for Osman Hadi's recovery from people across the country. He has been staying at the hospital since the admission.
Fahim Faruqi, convener of a platform named Mancha-24, spoke to the media outside the hospital around. He alleged that the attack was planned.
Faruqi claimed to have seen evidence through various sources suggesting the attackers are members of the "banned Chhatra League," and criticized the government for "expressing its inability to catch the criminals." He demanded a quick trial for all those involved in the assault.
Osman Hadi was shot yesterday afternoon, a day after the schedule for the 13th parliamentary election was announced. He was initially rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital before being transferred to Evercare Hospital.
