


The Detective Branch (DB-West) of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) recovered a major shipment of drugs in the Karnaphuli Police Station area. Officers seized 8 kg of heroin and 14,000 pieces of Yaba during the operation.
A bus used to transport the narcotics was also taken into custody.
The CMP Media and Public Relations Department confirmed the drive on Tuesday (April 7). According to officials, the raid targeted a specific smuggling route within the Karnaphuli area, resulting in one of the year’s largest drug recoveries in the city.
Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations), Muhammad Faisal Ahmed, is scheduled to provide further details during a press briefing at the CMP Media Center in Dampara Police Lines today at 2:30 PM.
