


A three-day leadership and social development training workshop for local association leaders concluded on Tuesday in Shantiganj, Sunamganj. The program was organized under the second phase of the Rural Poverty Alleviation Foundation (PDBF) Expansion Project.
The closing ceremony took place at 10:00 AM at the Shantiganj Upazila Officers’ Club. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Shahjahan attended as the chief guest, delivering the closing address and emphasizing the importance of community leadership in poverty reduction.
The session was chaired by Rabindra Chandra Sarkar, Senior Assistant Project Director of PDBF Shantiganj. Special guests included Upazila Agriculture Officer Mohammad Ahsan Habib and Niranjan Kumar Chowdhury, PDBF Deputy Director for the Sunamganj region.
The workshop provided participants with strategic guidance on social management and organizational growth. To promote environmental sustainability alongside social development, each participant received two saplings (one fruit-bearing and one forest tree) at the end of the session.
All local PDBF officers and staff members were present at the event.
