


In the last 24 hours, 11 people have died across the country from measles and measles-like symptoms. Among them, one death has been confirmed as measles.
During the same period, 1,236 children were identified as suspected measles cases, while 224 cases were laboratory-confirmed.
The information was shared in a press release issued on Tuesday (April 7) by the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the release, a total of 9,883 suspected measles cases have been recorded between March 15 and April 7. During the same period, 1,398 cases have been confirmed.
Between March 15 and April 7, 6,883 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals. Of them, 4,635 have recovered and been discharged.
In the past 24 hours, the highest number of deaths—six—was reported in Dhaka division among suspected cases. Dhaka district also recorded the highest number of deaths during this period.
One confirmed measles death was reported in the last 24 hours. From March 15 to April 7, a total of 21 confirmed measles deaths have been recorded.
In addition, 10 deaths from suspected measles were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of suspected measles deaths to 128 during the same period.
