


In the incident where miscreants shot Motaleb Sikder, NCP leader of Khulna metropolis, in the head, the BGB has increased additional patrolling and strengthened searches by setting up check posts in various areas under the responsibility of 29 Battalion on the Phulbari border in Dinajpur.
On Monday (December 22) afternoon, Lt. Col. AM Jaber Bin Jabbar, Commander of Phulbari 29 BGB, confirmed this information through a press release.
The press release mentioned that in the wake of the incident where miscreants shot Motaleb Sikder, NCP leader of Khulna metropolis, in the head, security arrangements have been strengthened at important places through regular patrols as well as 10 additional special patrols in various border areas under the responsibility of Phulbari Battalion (29 BGB).
In addition, vehicles and suspicious persons are being searched by setting up 3 temporary check posts at Dhaka intersection and important places in the city of Phulbari upazila and Birampur city and Mohanpur bridge areas. Lt. Col. AM Jaber Bin Jabbar, Commander of Phulbari 29 BGB, said that strict surveillance is being maintained in the border area. In addition, searches are being carried out by increasing additional patrolling activities and setting up check posts. The 29th battalion is on high alert to deal with any kind of unexpected situation.
It is worth noting that on Monday (December 22), Khulna Metropolitan NCP leader Motaleb Sikder was shot in the head by miscreants and was seriously injured. Later, he was taken to Khulna City Medical College Hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment and his condition is out of danger. It is worth noting that the person who was shot, Motaleb Sikder, is the organizer of the Khulna division workers' organization of the NCP.
