BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee said, no one should postpone this election in any way. The fate of you, me, businessmen, all people is involved in this election.

The fate of Bangladesh is involved. Those who want to postpone this election, those who want to obstruct it, can be involved in such activities (setting fire to BNP leader's house). We must be very vigilant, we must be careful.

He said these things at a Milad Mahfil organized at Sutar Gopta Bazar Jame Mosque in Bhabaniganj Union, Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila on Monday (December 22) to pray for the forgiveness of the soul of Ayesha Akhter Binti (8), who died in a fire after Asr. During this, prayers were offered for the health of BNP leader Belal Hossain and his elder daughter Salma Akhter Smriti (17), who are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Addressing the leaders and activists, Anee Chowdhury said, "We must stand by Belal's family. We will find out about the family. We will help and support their relatives with a little sympathy. We will keep an eye on Belal's business organization. In no way should his family and Belal face threats. I have been there before, I am still here, and I will be there in the future, InshaAllah. We will do whatever is needed for this family."

District BNP leader Abul Hashem, Sadar Upazila (East) BNP President Main Uddin Chowdhury Riaz, General Secretary Shah Mohammad Emran, former convener of Lakshmipur Municipality BNP Mahbubur Rahman Liton and District Jubo Dal President Abdul Alim Humayun were present at the time.

It is worth noting that on Friday (December 19) late at night, miscreants set fire to Belal's house, which was the co-organizing secretary of Bhabaniganj Union BNP in Sadar Upazila. In addition, Belal and his two daughters Smriti and Samia Akter Bithi (14) were burnt to death.
