


A three-day Land Service Fair-2026 has officially begun in Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj with the theme, “People-Friendly Automated Smart Land Management, Secure Land and a Prosperous Future.” The fair aims to ensure transparent, technology-based, and citizen-friendly land services for the general public.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Tuesday (May 19) at 11:00 AM on the premises of the Upazila Land Office. The event was organized by the Gopalganj District Administration with the cooperation of the Muksudpur Upazila Administration.
The program was presided over by Muksudpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mahmud Ashiq Kabir, while the newly appointed Assistant Commissioner (Land), Md. Abirul Islam, conducted the program.In his speech, he highlighted the importance of digital land management and encouraged people to utilize online-based land services for faster and hassle-free service delivery.
Special guests at the event included Muksudpur Upazila BNP President Abdus Salam Khan, General Secretary Tarikul Islam Raju, and Lecturer Mahbub Hasan Babor, General Secretary of the Teachers’ Association of Government Muksudpur College.
Among others present were Muksudpur Municipal BNP President Abul Bashar Tultu Biswas and General Secretary Mashiur Rahman Mintu; President of Muksudpur Press Club Md. Chiru Mia; General Secretary Kazi Md. Wahidul Islam; Joint Secretaries Md. Delwar Hossain and Shamchul Arefin; Organizing Secretary Abdul Kaiyum Sharif; President of Press Club Muksudpur Amzad Hossain Amod; President of Muksudpur Reporters Unit Tarikul Islam; and President of Muksudpur Reporters Forum Sayeed Ahmed Tutul, along with many distinguished guests from different professions.
Prior to the inauguration, a colorful rally marched around the Upazila Land Office premises. Later, UNO Mahmud Ashiq Kabir formally declared the opening of the three-day Land Service Fair.
According to the organizers, the fair will provide various land-related services and information, including land development tax payment, mutation services, access to land records and documents, guidance on online land services, and awareness activities aimed at simplifying land management for citizens.
