


A three-day land service fair has begun on the Bheramara Upazila Land Office premises under the motto "Clean and harassment-free service."
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, a public awareness meeting was held at the Upazila Auditorium. Organized by the Upazila Land Office, the discussion was chaired by Bheramara Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Amirul Arafat.
Alhaj Abdul Gafur, Member of Parliament for the Kushtia-2 (Bheramara-Mirpur) constituency, attended as the chief guest. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Dr. Gazi Ashiq Bahar delivered the welcome speech.
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest MP Abdul Gafur emphasized the lifelong necessity of land management for citizens. He asserted that 100% transparency and accountability must be ensured in land services to completely eliminate public harassment, reaffirming the Upazila Land Office's commitment to fast and transparent service delivery.
The meeting was also attended by local leaders and officials, including MP representative Dr. Nurul Amin Jasim, Upazila Jamaat Amir Jalal Uddin, Upazila BNP Convener and former Upazila Chairman Advocate Touhidul Islam Alam, Member Secretary Shahajan Ali, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Muktijoddha Convener Abu Daud, former Press Club President Jahangir Hossain Jewel, Bheramara Police SI Mainul Islam, and journalist S.M. Abu Obaid-al-Mahadi.
