A three-day land service fair and public awareness meeting commenced in Shantiganj Upazila, Sunamganj, under the theme "People-friendly automated land management, protected land, prosperous future."

The national event was officially inaugurated online by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

To mark the occasion, an inaugural ceremony was held at the Shantiganj Upazila Parishad Hallroom, presided over by Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mohammad Shahjahan.

The event was attended by local dignitaries, including Shantiganj Upazila BNP Convener Haji Jalal Uddin, First Joint Convener Rowshan Khan Sagar, Pagla Union Parishad Chairman Jaglul Haider, and Shantiganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Oliullah. Upazila officials from various departments—including education, engineering, cooperatives, fisheries, youth development, agriculture, and public health—were also present alongside local journalists, teachers, students, and civil society leaders.

Speakers highlighted that the government is actively working to deliver modern, technology-based land services directly to citizens. They noted that the fair provides a streamlined platform for the public to access essential land services and information without hassle.

The ceremony concluded with guests distributing prizes to students who won the land-themed quiz competition.
