A week-long Land Service Fair has opened in Faridpur, aligning with a nationwide initiative to streamline land management. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman officially inaugurated the central program.

Organized by the district administration, the fair aims to deliver hassle-free land services directly to citizens. The launch began on Tuesday morning with a colorful procession, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the release of balloons.

Following the opening, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mazharul Islam, alongside incoming officials and guests, inspected the service stalls.

Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mintu Biswas, the inaugural ceremony featured DC Mazharul Islam as the chief guest, accompanied by senior district officials.

"The government is working tirelessly to make land management simpler, transparent, and citizen-friendly," Islam said. "This fair is designed to educate the public on essential services, including land registration, khatians (records of rights), parchas, and land development taxes."

Visitors to the fair are receiving instant consultations and on-the-spot digital services, while officials raise awareness about the government's ongoing digital land reforms.
