Five More Dengue Deaths, 1,110 New Cases in a Day

Five more people died of dengue and 1,110 new patients were hospitalised nationwide in the 24 hours until 8:00 am Wednesday according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The latest deaths push this year's dengue toll to 107. Two deaths each were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Mymensingh division with the remaining case recorded in Barishal division.

Since January 1, a total of 38,280 dengue patients have been hospitalized across the country. Of them, 35,433 have recovered and been discharged, leaving thousands still under treatment nationwide as the outbreak continues.
