


President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital in the capital on Wednesday morning to inquire about the health condition of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, who has been hospitalised due to illness.
The president reached Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital at around 9:30am on September 2 and spoke with the doctors treating the minister. He sought updates on Tuku’s current physical condition.
The information was confirmed by Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP Media Cell.
According to sources, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku had been suffering from fever, cold, cough and breathing difficulties for several days.
His condition reportedly required hospitalisation, and he was taken to the emergency department of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital at around 10:30pm.
He was subsequently transferred to the hospital’s Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for further treatment and monitoring.
Further details about his medical condition have not been disclosed.
