The Faridpur district and divisional conference of the Bangladesh Document Writers Association was held on Saturday at the Ambika Memorial Hall in Faridpur city to demand the implementation of their long-standing 7-point charter.

Alhaj M. A. Rashid, Chairman of the Bangladesh Document Writers Association, attended as the chief guest, while Central Secretary General K. S. Hossain Thomas was the main speaker. The event was inaugurated by Senior Vice President Alhaj Nurul Haque Mia and chaired by Faridpur District Association President Md. Saiful Islam. Central and divisional leaders, including Ali Ahmed, Amirul Islam Akon, Alhaj Firoz Alam, and SM Aynal Haque, also addressed the gathering.

In his address, Alhaj M. A. Rashid emphasized the vital role deed writers play in land registration services. "Fulfilling their just demands will improve service quality and directly benefit the public. The government and relevant authorities must take these demands seriously," he stated.

Keynote speaker K. S. Hossain Thomas urged members to remain united to protect their professional dignity and rights, asserting that organizational programs will continue until their 7-point demands are met. Other speakers reiterated that implementing these demands would significantly boost the efficiency of the country's land registration sector.

The program, moderated by Supriya Dutta, began with a one-minute silence to honor deceased members. During the event, financial assistance checks of BDT 1 lakh each were handed over to the families of three deceased members. Expressing her gratitude, Nurunnahar Begum, wife of the late member Md. Abul Kalam Azad, thanked the association for standing by the grieving families.

Document writers from various districts across the division participated in the conference to discuss future organizational strategies. In the second session, a new 71-member committee was formed for the 2025–2029 term, with Md. Saiful Islam re-elected as President and Md. Shafiqul Islam elected as General Secretary.
