


The Election Commission (EC) has set September 7 as the deadline for voters seeking to change their voter areas due to a change of residence ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
The deadline was announced in a letter issued on Wednesday, September 2, and signed by EC Senior Assistant Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Chowdhury.
According to the letter, applications for voter transfers must be submitted by September 7.
The EC has also set September 9 as the final date for issuing voter-transfer applications and September 10 as the deadline for completing the disposal of those applications.
The schedule has been set specifically to facilitate the submission and processing of voter-area transfer applications resulting from changes in residence ahead of the local government elections.
