


Marking the nationwide celebration of "Nazrul Barsho," the National Cultural Competition dedicated to National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was officially inaugurated in Lakhai upazila of Habiganj on Monday morning.
Following the inaugural ceremony, a discussion meeting was held at 10:00 am at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. The session was chaired by Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mohammad Jahangir Alam.
The event successfully brought together local education officials, journalists, and educators to honor Nazrul’s enduring literary and cultural legacy. Key attendees included Jannatun Nahar, Academic Supervisor of the Upazila Secondary Education Department; Mohammad Bahar Uddin, President of the Lakhai Press Club and Mohammad Abdul Wahed, President of Lakhai Reporters Unity.
Other notable participants included Mohsin Sadek, Senior Vice President of the Lakhai Upazila Press Club, and Parvez Hasan, its Organizing Secretary. They were joined by several head teachers from local secondary schools and madrasas.
The competition aims to inspire the younger generation by deeply engaging them with the timeless philosophy, rebellious spirit and cultural heritage of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
