Raphinha and Lamine Yamal scored twice each as Barcelona beat Rayo Vallecano 5-2 at Camp Nou on Monday with keeping their unbeaten start to the season and moving to the top of the LaLiga table.

Vallecano took an early lead in the 12th minute when Alvaro Garcia beat defender Jules Kounde and set up Sergio Camello who scored past goalkeeper Joan Garcia.

Barcelona, dominating possession and equalised in the 19th minute through Raphinha who received a quick pass from Xavi Espart and slotted home. Two minutes later Lamine Yamal put Barcelona ahead with a stunning curling strike his 50th goal for the club.

A Kounde effort was ruled offside after VAR review before Barcelona extended their lead in the 51st minute as Anthony Gordon's cross deflected off Vallecano defender Florian Lejeune into the net.

Camello pulled one back for the visitors in the 59th minute, heading home a corner. But with 20 minutes remaining, Gordon set up Raphinha with a clever back-heel and the Brazilian slotted home his fifth league goal in three matches.

Vallecano nearly scored again in the 82nd minute but Randy Nteka's shot was saved by Joan Garcia. Barcelona sealed the win in the 90th minute when Karim Adeyemi assisted Lamine Yamal for his second goal of the night.

Barcelona now lead the table with nine points ahead of Real Madrid on goal difference. Vallecano remain 18th winless with just one point from three matches.
