


A press conference was held in Muksudpur, Gopalganj, marking the occasion of Land Fair 2026 under the theme, “People-Friendly Automated Smart Land Management, Secure Land and a Prosperous Future.”
The press conference took place on Monday (May 18) at 4:00 PM in the Bijoy Conference Hall of the upazila Parishad, organized by the Gopalganj District Administration with the support of the Muksudpur upazila Administration.
The event was chaired by Muksudpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mahmud Ashik Kabir Among those who spoke at the program were newly appointed Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Abirul Islam, Lecturer Mahbub Hossain Babor, General Secretary of the Teachers’ Association of Government Muksudpur College, President of Muksudpur Press Club Md. Siru Mia, Senior Vice-President Hafizur Rahman Lebu, General Secretary Md. Kazi Ohidul Islam, Joint Secretary Delwar Hossain, Organizing Secretary Abdul Kaiyum Sharif, Joint Secretary Shamsul Arefin Mukta, along with local journalists and distinguished persons.
Speakers at the press conference said the present government is continuously working to make land services easier, faster, and technology-based. Through Land Fair 2026, people will be able to receive various land-related services, information, and advice from a single place more conveniently. They also expressed hope that the fair would play an important role in raising public awareness regarding mutation, land records, land development tax, and resolving various land-related complexities.
In his speech, UNO Mahmud Ashik Kabir said that, in line with the nationwide initiative and under the slogan “Secure Land, Prosperous Future,” a three-day Land Fair has been arranged in Muksudpur as well. He sought the cooperation of local journalists and people from all walks of life to make the event successful.
At the end of the press conference, the attending journalists learned detailed information about the activities of the Land Fair and expressed optimism for its successful implementation.
