All customs houses and customs stations in the country will remain open every day except Eid to keep import and export activities running on a limited scale during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holidays from May 25 to May 31.

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) issued the order on Sunday and has already sent it to all customs commissioners. The directive has also been shared with relevant stakeholders, including Bangladesh Bank, FBCCI, foreign chambers, BGMEA, BKMEA, freight forwarders, and shipping agents.

The NBR said the decision aims to ensure smooth trade operations during public and weekly holidays. A similar arrangement was in place during the last Eid-ul-Fitr, although actual trade volume remained low.
