


A three-day workshop on "Integrated Pest Management and Use of Biopesticides" began on Tuesday at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) seminar room in Gazipur. The Entomology Department of BARI organized the event.
BARI Director General Dr. Muhammad Ataur Rahman attended the inauguration as the chief guest, while Dr. Nirmal Kumar Dutta, Chief Scientific Officer of the Entomology Department, chaired the session.
Other key speakers and attendees included BARI Director (Training and Communication) Dr. Reshma Sultana, Partner Project APD (APCU-BARC) Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam, and CABI Bangladesh Country Representative Dr. Md. Saleh Ahmed. Dr. Kohinoor Begum, Chief Scientific Officer of the Entomology Department, delivered the welcome address, and Senior Scientific Officer Dr. Md. Kafil Uddin moderated the program.
Senior scientists from various BARI departments, along with representatives from domestic, international, and private pesticide organizations, participated in the workshop. The event is funded by the Partner Project (APCU-BARC) in collaboration with CABI.
