Couple Arrested with 50 Yaba Tablets in Phulbari

Police arrested a married couple with 50 Yaba tablets in Phulbari upazila of Dinajpur. They were forwarded to court on Tuesday.

The arrestees are Enamul Haque, 40, son of the late Nazir Uddin from the Dakshin Syedpur area, and his wife, Sakina Begum, 38.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the couple's residence on Monday night and recovered the contraband drug.

A case was filed against them on Tuesday under Sections 36(1) [table 10(a)] and 41 of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.

Phulbari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif Shah confirmed the arrests, adding that the suspects have been produced before the court under police escort.
