The Land Service Fair-2026 has been inaugurated in Char Fasson, Bhola, aiming to popularize digital land services and make administrative processes more citizen-friendly. This year’s theme is "People-friendly automated land management, safe land, and a prosperous country."
Char Fasson Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Rumana Afroz officially inaugurated the fair on the Upazila Land Office premises on Tuesday (May 19) at 10:00 AM.
Speaking as the chief guest, UNO Rumana Afroz emphasized that the speedy disposal of pending cases remains a top government priority. She stated that the government is working relentlessly to eliminate harassment and corruption from land management, ensuring state services reach citizens' doorsteps.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Emadul Hossain noted that serving the public is a duty, not a favor. "Our goal is to build a technology-based, harassment-free, and citizen-friendly land system to accelerate the country's sustainable development," he said. Hossain also highlighted the importance of utilizing village courts and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) systems alongside conventional courts to settle land disputes.
Local political leaders, government officials, Char Fasson Press Club General Secretary Kamal Goldar, Vice President Kamal Miyaji, and local journalists attended the event.
