RAB Seizes Illegal Foreign Pen Gun in Jhalakathi Raid

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-8) recovered an illegal, foreign-made ‘pen gun’ during a late-night raid in Rajapur upazila of Jhalakathi on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, a RAB-8 operational team conducted the drive around 2:10 AM near a road behind the residence of Md. Nannu Sikder in Naikathi village, Saturia union. During the search, team members found the illegal firearm wrapped in blue polythene, abandoned behind a chicken coop.

RAB seized the weapon in the presence of local witnesses and later handed it over to Rajapur Police Station for legal proceedings.

Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Kamruzzaman (PPM-Service), Company Commander of RAB-8, stated that RAB remains committed to its continuous crackdown on terrorism, illegal arms, and extortion to maintain public safety.
