5 Convicted Fugitives Arrested by Kotwali Police in Chattogram

Police arrested five convicted fugitives from various areas under the Kotwali Police Station in Chattogram city on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Kotwali Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md. Iqbal Hossain, alongside SI Asaduzzaman and SI Naimur Rahman, conducted the drive.

The arrestees include Mohammad Hossain, who was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment in a CR case and wanted in another Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act case.

The other four arrestees are Abdul Awal, sentenced to six months' civil detention in a money loan lawsuit; Sadhan Chandra Majumder, wanted under the NI Act; Dildar Hossain, convicted in a CR case; and Mohidul Islam, sentenced to one year’s imprisonment.

Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aftab Uddin confirmed the arrests, stating that all five individuals have been forwarded to the court.
