178,160 Applications Submitted to 19 GST Cluster Universities

The application process for undergraduate (Honours) admission to 19 general, science, and technology universities under the GST (General, Science and Technology) cluster for the 2025–26 academic year is currently underway. Prospective students will be able to submit their applications online until Wednesday (December 24).

As of Monday evening (December 22), a total of 178,160 applicants have submitted applications across different units of the GST cluster universities. The information was confirmed by Professor Dr. Md. Kazi Rafiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) and Joint Convener of the GST Cluster Admission Test Organising Committee.

According to him, unit-wise application figures show that 106,538 candidates applied for Unit ‘A’, 57,457 for Unit ‘B’, and 14,865 for Unit ‘C’.

Meanwhile, the admission tests for the 2025–26 academic session will begin on March 27 with the Unit ‘C’ examination, followed by Unit ‘B’ on April 3 and Unit ‘A’ on April 10. With these examinations, the admission test process for GST cluster universities for the current academic year will be completed.
