A day-long program titled “Youth Seminar–2025” was held yesterday (Saturday, 6 December 2025) at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU), organized by the PSTU unit of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir. The seminar, aimed at enhancing students’ moral, social, and religious awareness, was conducted in two separate sessions on the university campus.

The first session began at 10 a.m. with a discussion on “Is Purdah an Obstacle to Women’s Higher Education? and the Concept of Worship (Ibadah)”. Female students from various faculties participated in the session, which focused on the real essence of purdah, women’s progress in higher education, and the proper understanding of worship.

The second session started at 2 p.m. on “Is Moral Character Supportive of Men’s Higher Education? and the Concept of Worship (Ibadah)”. This segment highlighted moral development, character building, and the importance of an Islamic lifestyle for male students.

The event was presided over by Jannatul Nayeem Jibon, President of the PSTU unit of Islami Chhatra Shibir. Treasurer of the university, Professor Abdul Latif, and Professor Dr. Md. Mamun-ur-Rashid of the Faculty of Agriculture attended as keynote speakers. Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdullah Al Mamun Hossain, Provost of M. Keramat Ali Hall, was present as a special guest.
