Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized a large cache of narcotics, airgun bullets, and smuggled goods during a 12-hour special operation along the Kurigram border.
The Kurigram 22 BGB Battalion confirmed the recovery in a press release on Wednesday afternoon. Officials stated that the seized items—which include cattle, Indian liquor, saris, and clothing materials—carry an estimated market value of 13.13 lakh BDT.
According to Lt. Col. Mohammad Mahbub-ul-Haq, Commander of the 22 BGB Battalion, the drive is part of an ongoing "zero tolerance" policy against smuggling and illegal infiltration.
"Our teams remain on high alert to ensure border security and prevent the entry of illegal goods," he said, adding that such operations will continue to maintain law and order in the frontier regions.
