Islami Chhatra Shibir held a protest march in Lakshmipur city on Wednesday afternoon citing rising commodity prices and alleged attacks by Chhatra Dal activists.

The procession began at the city’s North Temuhani area moving through major roads before concluding with a rally at South Temuhani. During the rally speakers expressed concern over increasing violence across the country which they claimed is destabilizing the academic environment in educational institutions.

Shibir leaders demanded that the administration take immediate action against those responsible for recent "anarchic activities" and called for measures to ensure the safety of students on campuses.

The protest was led by Abdul Awal Hamdu President of the Lakshmipur city branch of Chhatra Shibir.

Other senior local leaders including Secretary Ismail Hossain Faisal and Office Secretary Junaid Hossain Khan, were also in attendance.
