PSTU Hosts Courtesy Engagement with CHAKSU Representatives

A courtesy meeting and exchange of views was held at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) between representatives of the Chittagong University Central Students' Union (CHAKSU) and Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.

The event was organized on Saturday (July 25) by the Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, PSTU Branch, on the university campus. The courtesy meeting took place as the CHAKSU delegation visited PSTU while traveling to meet the family of Hridoy Tarua, a former student of the University of Chittagong who was martyred during the 2024 Mass Uprising.

Among those present at the meeting were Md. Saeed Bin Habib, General Secretary (GS) of the Chittagong University Central Students' Union, central and hall-level student union leaders, and two faculty members from the University of Chittagong. Representing the PSTU branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir were Branch President Md. Redwan and other organizational leaders.

The discussion focused on undertaking constructive initiatives for students' welfare, strengthening mutual cooperation, developing leadership skills, and exchanging experiences. Participants also exchanged views on promoting a student-friendly academic environment, fostering moral values, and making student organizational activities more disciplined and positive.

Following the meeting, the CHAKSU delegation toured the PSTU campus. The reception, discussion session, and overall coordination of the campus visit were managed by the leaders of the PSTU branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.

At the conclusion of the program, both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening mutual cooperation for the welfare of students and working together to develop responsible student leadership.
