Two-day workshop on youth skill development in Sundarbans protection held

A two-day workshop on youth skill development in Sundarbans protection to prevent plastic and polythene pollution has been held in Paikgachha, Khulna.

A two-day (refresher) workshop was organized under the Non-Governmental Organization Rupantor Sundarbans Protection Project at the Officers Club Auditorium on December 21 and 22. Facilitators Mehboob Hasan Mithun and Farzana Akhter were the trainers in the workshop.

Saki Rezwana, Project Officer of Rupantor Sundarbans Protection Project, Sundarban Journalists Forum Khulna Joint Convener Journalist Md. Abdul Aziz, President of Sundarbans Youth Forum Rakibul Islam, General Secretary Krishna Chakraborty, Vice President Chanda Sultana, Co-Editor Faisal Sardar and Organizing Secretary Ashiquzzaman Nayan were present. 31 young men and women participated in the workshop.

The youth participating in the workshop will be able to use the knowledge they have acquired to play an important role in protecting the Sundarbans at the community level and preventing plastic and polythene pollution, said Project Officer Saki Rezwana at the workshop.
