


Victory Day was celebrated with due dignity in Phulbari, Dinajpur, through various programs throughout the day, both government and private.
On the occasion of the day, the program was started by firing 31 cannons in the morning at the Upazila Parishad premises at the initiative of the Upazila administration. After that, after hoisting the national flag, wreaths were laid at the Shaheed Minar in the Upazila Parishad premises by the Upazila administration, Muktijoddha Sangsad and various political, social and cultural organizations to pay tribute to the brave martyrs of the great liberation war.
Later, a Victory Day parade, fascinating displays, reception of the brave freedom fighters and prize distribution were held at the Phulbari Government College ground with the participation of students from various forces and schools and colleges.
In addition, the inauguration of the Victory Fair and open sports events were organized at the Upazila premises by the Upazila administration. Students from various educational institutions including government and private institutions participated in these day-long programs.
At the end of the program, prizes were distributed among the first, second and third place winners under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Ahmed Hasan.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Samiul Islam, Agriculture Officer Saif Abdullah Mostafin, Officer-in-Charge Abdul Latif Shah, Fisheries Officer Rasheda Akhter and officials from various departments of the upazila were present at the time.
