I was shot in the forehead, but I did not bow my head: Annie Chowdhury

I have been repeatedly tortured while fighting for my movement. I had to be imprisoned. And I was shot in the forehead during my student life, but I did not bow my head to injustice. I was not the only one who was tortured while doing politics.

Those of you who are involved in BNP politics. You have also been subjected to this torture. Has fascist Hasina been able to suppress us? We have endured torture and torture for 17 years. My two sons have also been subjected to this torture.

Anee made these comments at a meeting with women at the Chandkhali A-Rob High School ground in Laharkandi Union of Sadar constituency, Lakshmipur-(3 Sadar) on Saturday afternoon.

During the exchange of views with women, Annie said that women also have a role in society along with men. Women's awareness can enlighten a society. Starting from agricultural work, the role of women in all spheres is praised.

Regarding Khaleda Zia's recovery from disease, Annie said, the autocratic government of Sheikh Hasina has been blocking the uncompromising leader of BNP for years. She did not allow her to be sent abroad for better treatment. She used to use poison with food. So that she could not recover. That is why she recovered slowly. Currently, Beg Zia is at the crossroads of life and death. Everyone will pray for her.

Present with Anee in the courtyard meeting were - Sadar Upazila East BNP President Main Uddin Chowdhury Riaz, District Women's Party President Sabera Anwar, General Secretary Sumi Bhuiyan, District Jubo Dal President Abdul Alim Humayun, General Secretary Syed Rashidul Hasan Lincoln and others.
