Narail-1 MP Alhaj Biswas Jahangir Alam and Narail-2 MP Md. Ataur Rahman Bachchu conducted a joint inspection of Narail District Hospital on Thursday afternoon.
During the visit at 2:00 PM, the lawmakers toured various wards to speak with patients and assess medical services, medicine supplies, and the hospital environment.
MP Alhaj Biswas Jahangir Alam stated that both representatives are working in coordination to address the facility's limitations. "We have identified the key issues and are taking step-by-step initiatives to resolve them. Our goal is to transform this into a modern, service-oriented institution without patient suffering," he said.
MP Md. Ataur Rahman Bachchu highlighted the chronic shortage of doctors and staff. He noted that although a 250-bed facility is ready, it remains non-functional due to a lack of manpower.
"I, along with my colleague from Narail-1, have discussed this with Health Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain. The Minister has assured us of his full cooperation in resolving the staffing crisis quickly," Bachchu added.
The MPs were accompanied by Hospital Superintendent Dr. Md. Abdul Gaffar, former Bar Association President Advocate Md. Tarikuzzaman Litu, and other local officials.
