Woman killed by speeding truck in Narail

A 55-year-old woman, Tachirur Nesa, died after being struck by a truck in Narail on Monday afternoon. The accident took place near the Auria toll booth in Narail Sadar upazila. Tachirur Nesa, a resident of Bhandarpara village in Khulna’s Dumuria upazila, was traveling to visit her daughter.

According to police and local witnesses, Tachirur Nesa arrived in Narail by bus. After getting off at the Auria toll booth, a speeding truck hit her while she was attempting to cross the road. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Locals rescued her and rushed her to Narail District Hospital, where attending physicians pronounced her dead.
