Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdho, the twin brother of Mir Mugdho—a martyr of the recent July Uprising—has officially joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

Snigdho received his party membership certificate today (4 November) from BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The ceremony took place at the party chairman’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka. The event, confirmed by party media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan, saw BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman attend virtually.

Other senior party figures present included Standing Committee members Nazrul Islam Khan and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, along with Dhaka North City BNP Convener Aminul Haque. Snigdho's father, Mostafizur Rahman, was also present to witness the development.
