


In a significant reshuffle within the police administration, Shamima Parveen has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) for Dhaka district.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued the appointment notice on Thursday (April 30), signed by Deputy Secretary Toushif Ahmed of the Police-1 branch. Parveen takes over the role from Md. Mizanur Rahman, who has been reassigned to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) as Superintendent of Police.
Major Reshuffle 13 Senior Officers Transferred Alongside the Dhaka SP appointment, the Ministry issued separate notifications confirming the transfer of 13 other high-ranking officials to bolster public service and administrative efficiency.
DMP Changes RAB Directors (Additional DIG) Mohammad Kamruzzaman and Md. Khalidul Haque Howlader have been posted as Joint Police Commissioners of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
APBN & PBI Mohammad Sihab Kaiser Khan (Additional DIG) moves from APBN-13 to the PBI. Meanwhile, Md. Iqbal and Md. Enamul Kabir have taken leadership roles in APBN-5 and APBN-12, respectively.
District & Specialized Units Maqbul Hossain has been posted as SP of Kushtia, moving from the Satkhira Inservice Training Center. Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan is the new SP of the Naval Police, and Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabder has been appointed as the SP of Bagerhat.
The Ministry stated that these transfers, made in the public interest, are to take effect immediately.
