Major reshuffle in police administration

The Police Headquarters has reshuffled six officers, including four Additional Superintendents of Police, in a move announced on Thursday (April 9).

According to the order Md. Zahidul Islam, attached to the Barisal Range DIG office, has been transferred as Additional Police Commissioner of DMP. Mohammad Aftab Uddin, Additional SP of Gopalganj, has been posted as Additional SP of Naval Police. Mohammad Kazi Humayun Rashid, Additional SP of Munshiganj, has been transferred to Gopalganj as Additional SP. Sanjeev Tripura, Additional SP of CID, has been posted to Police Headquarters. Md. Ehsanul Haque, Assistant SP of CID, has been appointed Assistant Police Commissioner of DMP. Md. Shariful Islam, Assistant SP of SB, has also been posted as Assistant Police Commissioner of DMP.

The notification states that these transfers have been made in the public interest and will remain effective until further orders.

Two previous transfer orders have been cancelled The March 25 order assigning the officer in serial no. 1 to Pabna as Additional SP. The March 16 order assigning the officer in serial no. 3 to RAB as Additional SP.

All officers must hand over their current responsibilities by April 22, 2026. Failure to do so will result in automatic release from their current posts on April 23, 2026.
