PM Tarique Rahman to Lead May Day Workers' Rally in Nayapaltan

Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will address a major workers' rally in front of the party’s central office in Nayapaltan this Friday, May 1. Organized by the Jatiotabadi Sramik Dal, the event marks International Workers' Day and is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM.

The announcement was made by Nazrul Islam Khan, BNP Standing Committee member and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister, during a press conference on Thursday. "Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will deliver a keynote speech focusing on the current labor situation and national politics," Khan stated.According to party officials, extensive preparations are underway to ensure a historic turnout.

The rally aims to highlight the struggle for workers' rights, specifically focusing on fair wages and humane working conditions. Khan noted that while all demands cannot be met immediately, the government remains committed to its pro-worker election manifestos.

Other key speakers at the rally will include BNP Secretary General and LGRD Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, along with senior national and labor leaders. The press briefing was attended by the Prime Minister's Industrial Affairs Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Labor Party Coordinator Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, and Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sharafat Ali Shafu.
