Sramik Dal Holds May Day Rally in Morelganj; Leaders Call for Unity

To mark International May Day, the Upazila and Municipal chapters of the Nationalist Workers' Party (Sramik Dal) organized a vibrant rally and discussion in Morelganj on Friday morning.

Following a procession through the town's main roads, leaders and activists gathered at the municipal BNP office for a discussion meeting. Upazila BNP President Md. Shahidul Haque Babul addressed the event as the chief guest.

During the meeting, speakers urged everyone to unite to secure workers' rights and advance the country's development under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Emphasizing the integrity of the working class, leaders noted that "workers do not understand dishonesty and hypocrisy."

The political leadership also used the platform to call on party dissidents to return to the fold and urged grassroots unity to ensure victory for party-backed candidates in the upcoming local elections.

The meeting was chaired by Municipal Workers' Party President Masud Khan Chunnu and hosted by General Secretary Mashiur Rahman Jewel. Key speakers included Municipal BNP President Sikder Faridul Islam, Upazila BNP General Secretary Adv. Mehedi Hasan Iyad, Municipal BNP General Secretary Asaduzzaman Milon, Upazila Workers' Party President Md. Majnu Molla, and General Secretary Md. Asaduzzaman Shamim.
